What makes legal hiring hard
Practice area experience is everything
A strong litigation paralegal is not automatically a strong estate planning paralegal. We search by the practice area and matter type you need, not just the title.
Discretion
Attorneys considering a move do not want it known. Outreach is personal and one to one, and nobody is told who else is being approached.
Small local markets
In many cities the number of experienced attorneys in a given practice area is small. We map the whole market so you know who is out there, rather than waiting for whoever applies.
How we find legal candidates
Attorneys are licensed by state bars, and most bars publish a public directory of admitted lawyers. We combine bar admission and practice area data with LinkedIn and firm websites to find the right people, then reach out by email and LinkedIn with a message written for your role and firm.

- How much does a legal recruiter cost?
- Legal recruiters often charge a percentage of first-year salary per hire. We charge a flat monthly fee per open role: $1,000 a role per month at list rate, lower from the fourth role, plus a $1,000 one-time setup, with no placement fee. Every engagement starts with three role slots.
- Do you recruit paralegals as well as attorneys?
- Yes. Paralegals, legal assistants and firm operations roles are a large share of law firm hiring, and we recruit them the same way: by practice area experience, not just title.
- Can you recruit lateral attorneys?
- Yes. We identify attorneys by bar admission, practice area and current firm, and approach them confidentially. Book of business conversations and offers stay between you and the candidate.
- Can we keep the search confidential?
- Yes. Outreach can describe the role without naming your firm until a candidate is interested and you are ready to share it.
